As part of doing business, we gather a lot of personal information about customers, business partners, suppliers and employees. By law, we are required to keep this information safe and manage it carefully.

We may send emails, promotional material, or surveys to you where we believe it may be relevant to you. We will remove you from any such distribution or mailing lists upon your request.
Disclosure of your information
We retain personal information only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Customer service data is generally retained for no longer than 3 years, including records of service interactions and complaints. Financial records are retained for 7 years.
Our CCTV use
Closed circuit television cameras are in place on many of our buses and premises to help provide a safe and secure environment for employees, passengers and visitors to our depots and sites. The cameras record vision and audio and are capable of capturing night and daytime imagery. Where audio is recorded it will generally be in the proximity of the bus driver.
Surveillance technology provides a number of benefits for passengers and employees:
- It allows the capture of information that could be used to investigate crime or health and safety matter
- It can assist investigation into employee or passenger incidents and/or misconduct.
- It contributes to improved deterrence of criminal activity
- Other purposes as provided for in the Privacy Act 2020.
We have safeguards to prevent unauthorised access to, or misuse of CCTV footage or any personal information.
By using bus and coach services which we operate passengers and employees will be deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions of our policy which can be found in full on the Ritchies group website.
